It is quite a stretch that Smart's case is similar to Petito's case in any way other than they were both attractive, young blonds.

I prayed Elizabeth would be found. In 1969, when people did not lock their house doors, I shared a bedroom with my sister. I was awoken in the middle of the night with a man hovering over me with a knife. had a man try to kidnap at knife I immediately screamed so loud the intruder fled. Good thing I am a light sleeper. Sister saw the attempted abductor and both my sister came up with the same description. Parents said we must have had nightmares and did not investigate.
So many sick pedophiles and rapists that are living amongst us.
One week before Elizabeth was found I had a premonition she was found. I am so happy she was reunited with her loving family.
