evo Car of the Year 2019

Six cars, five days, southern Spain's finest roads and the sublime Ascari Race Resort will result in the crowing of the 2019 one evo Car of the Year. Steve Sutcliffe is your host for our biggest test of the year.

The Cayman in that shade of blue is just drop dead gorgeous!!! I'm sold!! And I knew it would be the winner before the test even began. The other car I'm sold on is the Project 8. Man that looks epic without the wing!

The intro got me excited that this would be an ecoty of old but sadly it failed to deliver. This should have been called the "Evo Car of the Year (with no budget)" Not even Steve Sutcliffe's excellent delivery could rescue this for me. No road section, just race track? Juxtapose this next to the Ford GT video in Norway also with Steve behind the wheel. That was a breathtaking video, I think the very best ever done on this channel.

Just 6 cars, 2 of them AMG, no Supra, no BMW or other supercars apart from that GT? A little disappointed with the selection this year, as well as with the video in general as it mainly took place on a track, not in amazing scenery compared to the last ECOTYs.

First time that I'm kinda disappointed with ECOTY. The whole video was just rather dull. The rather unimpressive lineup of cars surely didn't help either.

Sensational video! Proper comparison by debate amongst SEVERAL experienced driving aficionados without any useless lap time comparisons.... and that cinematography and music gave me proper tingles too.... Wonderful...

Sutcliffe brings me old good memories of older Autocar and some of his epic drives as in a Caterham in heavy rain and dark, still one of my favorite road testers looking forward for more frequent quality contents!
