look at Chris "loving" his own FF and I mean loving it, it's secondhand, blue with beige/bone/off white leather but he just love's because it's a bit of everything, spots car, country estate and a proper GT.... and goes like "the heck".

I find it hard to believe that Ferrari would ban one of the most respected car reviewer in the UK because of one blog rant.
Clarkson makes fun of american cars/diesels/hybrids all the time and never received a ban.

Not to mention the torque curve is from 1500 rpms so its pretty similar to the delivery of the m5. P.S I've been in love with m5 since the e39 so it is my favorite ever!!!

As one other chap said to me recently: "Because he revealed how Ferrari would provide vehicles for tests that couldn't have possibly been stock, like a 360 that was a second or more faster to 100mph than anything seen before.

Or they'd show up to a test with a fleet of engineers to fettle the vehicle so the reviewer would have no way of knowing what they were doing when other manufacturers simply handed over the key and said "bring it back in one piece, please." /jeebus2121/

You know what i am a huge Ferrari fan by far my favorite company and i was upset by what Harris had said (I know its probably true) because it hurt to think they're dishonest, but i have to say hearing him compliment the car and keep his bias towards the companies practices a side shows how good of a reviewer he is...

he complained a lot about ferrari tweaking their cars' setups before giving it to the journalists.

On its face, that seems like an idea but there has to be a journalistic reason why that isn't done and it probably isn't the insurance.

I've seen enough group car reviews where authors wrote, "We couldn't obtain car such-and-such because didn't have one available, " to see that it would have been blindingly apparent for them to go rent one from a luxury car lot.

Maybe someone from EVO could chime in but they probably don't read the comments...

@PaganiZondaDrifter he's banned because he wrote that Ferrari press cars are tuned in horsepower and settings

He wrote about how Ferrari sends tuned cars to reporters, and forbid them driving the normal shop cars. They did not like that. The fact seems to be that Ferrari specially tune the cars depending on where reporters will drive them, track, road, whatever, they will go there, tune the car, and then hand it to the reporter. Also, the beef up the engine, so the press car might be two seconds faster to 100km/h than the shop car. They seemingly want that to be a secret.

M5 quick? I don't understand how this could be anything but quicker than an m5 I mean it has 100 more horsepower same tourque and is either the same weight or slightly lighter.

Well I would rather watch Chris, than a Ferrari, he is more entertaining. Plus there are other cars out there.

@jeebus2121 the funniest thing is that many people think other constructors like (porsche, bmw, lambo, mclaren, audi...) brought stock cars hahahaha

I'd bet money that almost all other car makers modify their press cars. Ferrari is probably just the worst.

Good thing that Chris Harris spoke up about it.
