Nice review.
The bass speakers are moved out of the doors to the dash, not up in the doors. That's why there's so much door storage space.

You dont have to go to touchscreen for every little task. You can use voice commands. Assuming it is similar to xc90

Nice car which I suspect is aimed at younger buyers. I will test drive one but being an older gentleman I sort of feel obliged to stick with the XC60 !

Good review, with as others have said, a useful factual approach. The XC40 does appeal although with a list price of over £30K it's up against some serious driving machines (ie) BMW 3 Series Touring with a discount.
