So the Sony XP500 is a decent little box speaker from sony… however I would mainly recommend this speaker to someone who plans on mostly using it while its plugged in and occasionally plans on using it while unplugged cause running off of its internal battery sound quality wise this speaker does leave you wanting more. However we’ve gotta see how the XP500 stacks up to the JBL Partybox 100.

I don't know, but the Sony sound quality is fantastic. I thought the Sony sounded nicer than the jbl. I also compared, both in-store. I ended up ordering the Sony.

I have both. My fav is the jbl. I love the deep clear sound and the powerful bass. The Sony is good too. Sounds best for me at around 40 -45 percent volume. The bass weakens above that

In the store I played both and they were on their demo modes which I believe was no bass boost for JBL because the Sony blew it away. JBLs mids are too scooped for me

I demoed the party box and xp at Best Buy and the Sony had a noticeable quality difference I went for the party box but ended up leaving with the Sony it had better bass by default

How many hours will the Partybox 100 play on the battery at the maximum? How many Sony XP500? It is nowhere on the Internet, it is nothing that jbl plays louder as long as it can withstand full play. It is important.

is the bass boost lvl 2 on the 100 the same as 300, meaning that on lvl 1 the lower tones are more there and on 2 the mid lows are more present
