I currently own a Sony XP700 and I'd like to share my opinion, which might be helpful for potential buyers. Even though the speaker offers impressive sound quality and solid construction, I unfortunately experienced an issue with background noise that significantly diminished my overall satisfaction with the product. This was particularly true for the tweeters and when a microphone was connected. I contacted Sony's service center hoping for a quick repair or replacement, but the response I received was astonishing – I was informed that such noise was normal for this model. The service process turned out to be more complicated and time-consuming than expected, and my experience with the service wasn't as positive as I had hoped. For anyone considering the purchase of the XP700, I would advise thoroughly checking other users' reviews and making sure that potential technical issues and after-sales service won't be a problem for you. Despite these challenges, the speaker has its strengths, but it's important to be aware of possible inconveniences.

For people who wants to know what’s best. The jbl 310 is best. I went to best buy to compare them before my purchase, I played both of them for a test and I was surprised to see how the JBL 310 sent me the vibe I was looking for. The Sony one plays like my 2003 speaker 🔈 we are in 2023 now. Sony do good headphones but when it comes to partybox JBL is king.

I never understood the need to be able to connect a huge speaker to a tiny one. I just wish there would be something between the 310 and 710. But i ll probably go for the 310.❤

I love my xp700. It's not always about the amount of bass. I find the sony has a great acoustic range and the older ones amongst us might prefer it. The xp700 can also be used for a guitar amp. Has a 2.5mm audio in and two usb for music files or charging phones.

You also forgot to say that the party box 310 supports TWS when you have two of them or any other party box and it also has a built in Guitar amp.

Exhaust ports dont “shoot out the back” it’s actually to have more air for the speaker cone to move

yeah, as a little more features, and I will go with the JBL. It is just my opinion and I am a JBL fan so I might go with the JBL

Sony's light features are kinda boring, all you have is these light bars up top and bottom
Partybox has 2 circular spinning lights, with other partybox models having lit up tweeters (110), dual rgb light bars (710) or even an entire lit up front grille (1000)
