Officer Dan's 'How to prepare for your first drift day'

So you got your first RWD car, congrats! Now what? Here I tackle the major Do's and Don'ts of heading to your first drift event as a driver. It can be a bit daunting showing up without knowing anything, but don't let it be intimidating, and most importantly, have fun! I cover everything from what to bring, how to pass tech, drivers meetings, track and skid pad etiquette, and even a blurb on how to learn proper donuts and figure 8s.

We usually bring a pair of half axles, a replacement diff and steering tie rods just in case any of those get broken off in a crash or just by "mad shredding". We also go to the window tint company to put on transparent tint on all the windows, so in case of a crash and window breaking it doesn't send glass shards flying into the cabin.

I hate when guys show up to tech full of shit and with no helmet.. ur just clogging up my tech lane AND NO i will not pass you and let u come back to prove u have the helmet etc later. great way for me to lose my job!
