I’ve done the retail. The retails are actually easier than messing with the warehouse because what you do is just scan the packages you pick up one or two packages and you make it actually more money within an hour than you do with the warehouse people even give you tips.

You can’t pick your route but yes getting checked in last minute (close to the 5 minute after) chance you get a smaller route or overbooked

In regards to your safety tips, everyone should be advised that amazon prohibits carrying weapons while doing amazon flex. It may be legal where you live, but it may still get you deactivated if you need to use a weapon or someone sees and reports it. With that said, it's your safety, so you decide what you want to do, and Be Safe Out There.

I have refused a route after seeing where it was taking me. They just brought me another cart and it's usually fine. I've done this 4-5 times. In my case the only location I refuse has bad roads and I have tire issues every time I go there. I have a 2017 Dodge Journey. 19" tires. They are expensive. I've had replace 1 and repair another because of the roads in that 1 area

No, Flex drivers can’t pick their routes. The routes are lined up by the block times 3hr, 3.5hr, 4hr and some locations have 4.5-5hrs blocks. If your block starts 8am all of the 3hr, 3.5, 4hr are lined up, basically if that delivery station has 5: 3 hrs blocks, 4: 3.5hr blocks and 10: 4hr blocks = 17 carts are lined up, but once the 3hr or 3.5hr or 4hr carts run out it doesn’t matter how long your block is you’ll get what’s left. Most of the time the routes that a delivery station is left with is less than what you signed up. With Whole Food deliveries they put a codeword to identify customer the bags will goes together, if the codeword is: Star, all of the Star bags are for the same customer and you should never get a route that has 2 different customers with the same codeword. Good thing is it will tell you how many bags/drinks you need to deliver and you have to scan each bag/drinks.

Yes the navigation is terrible. It wanted me to go left and then way around to deliver a package that was 4 house in front of me. Its so crazy. You really have to pay attention when you are going to your first stop. It seems to always sent you on the slowest possible way to get there.
