For the young kids coming up now with an interest in animation you all have been blessed with this video.
You just got my whole 4 year college degree in a 20 minute video.

I appreciate the genuine insight into the process, and not the usual dumbed down "we draw the pictures and the animator magic makes them move" kinda thing. So thanks for this!

Its brilliant that you have done this. A great educational video. So many people dont understand or taught the animation pipeline, even when they work on a gig, they will come in and out and have no idea how the sausage is made.

"Well, first we start with full color and audio mix, then we reduce the frame count to just the key poses, and one-two-three...a first draft of the script!"

Btw, for any of you wanting to make your own 2D animations, 18-24 FPS is the ideal frame rate.

It should be noted that every production has its own pipeline. Like the design being split into linework and color: A lot of design teams do both simultaneously.
Also the part where she says that shows that are done in Toon Boom Harmony require the characters to have rigs. That's not at all true. You can just as well use Harmony to make completely traditional frame-by-frame animation.
