The song talks about serious Croatian problem - emmigration and depopulation. There's more Croats living now in your countries, Australia or Ireland or the UK, than there are in Croatia. The song is dedicated to them as Baby Lasagna said - the people who left their homes and families to pursue happines abroad. The clothes (sleeves) are from Croatian traditional menswear, as well as the parts of choreography coming from Croatian folklore. Thank you for being kind and respectful in your commentary. The fact that this song WASN'T INTIALLY IN DORA'S SELECTION is crazy unbelievable.

This is the Eurovision fairytale (not the alexander rybak one) where this came from literally nowhere it has captivated the Croatian audience and the eurofans and could blow the general public's mind come May.

Semi and final were his first times singing live. And he also danced while singing. He just recently started singing and he's insanely talented for a guy who did just recently start. He is gonna improve massively until Eurovision, I have no doubt about that. He also did say that they definitely will change some stuff for ESC. It's not everyone's cup of tea, there are different genres and we can't always have singers with god given voices performing love ballads. Also the puffed sleeves he did say that he might consider changing it because people are comparing him to Kaarija even though the puffy sleeves and rest of the clothes design is taken from Istrian culture. The song is about how young people in Croatia leave their country to look for a bette future in other countries. It definitely is from the similar genre to Kaarija, but that's not surprising since both of them have pretty much the same taste in music. But saying that he copies him is plainly wrong because he said himself that he didn't really watch Eurovision as much before and also that's like saying that any two pop songs are similar, it's just a same genre of music, that's why to someone who doesn't listen to that kind of music it might sound too similar, even though it's really not.
