Cornell University resumed classes on Monday after being canceled last Friday following anti-Semitic threats. A student was charged with making online anti-Semitic threats against Jewish people on campus. Officials responded by sending police to guard a Jewish center and a kosher dining hall as reportedly unnerved students feared for their safety. Dr. Robert George, Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, joins to share whether it is possible to have a conversation about this on college campuses without it devolving. There has been a swell of anti-Semitic rhetoric online amid the Israel-Hamas war. Dr. Robert tells us what his reaction was to the reports of this antisemitism on ivy league campuses. Thousands converged onto the nation's capital this weekend to protest the Biden administration's support of Israel. Senator Bernie Sanders says he doesn't know if a cease-fire is possible with Hamas. Dr. Robert discusses his reaction to what is happening in the US.
