At last I've completed this documentary short spotlight on the Rutters and their business Creative Catering. It's much more than just an inside look at a small family owned business, it's also a look at the personalities who run it, their beautiful extended family and the colorful chemistry between this charming couple.
This film almost didn't happen. I had a drive crash and experienced catastrophic data loss. After months of work shooting, editing, composing music and building graphics the whole film was lost. I honestly don't know what drove me to not give up. On a whim after two local places took a crack at it and failed, I decided to go to Seagate's recovery service Pixel8 and take my chances. I fully expected them to charge me an actual arm and a leg but I was pleasantly surprised.
They not only recovered I'd say apx 95-98% of the material they were unbelievably generous.
Lets just say I am a fan and forever in their debt. Thank you again Seagate/Pixel8.
