Xiegu X6100 - MUST Upgrade Firmware? Feature Walkthrough of ANOTHER Upgrade...

X6100 Firmware Upgrade Latest Upgrade Time: 2022.01.17

New firmware version information is as follow after upgrade:

The CW memory works great on mine. I think they documented this in their manual... (idk, maybe not)

You have to push the "APP" button, select "MODEM, " select "MODE" for "CW/BPSK/RTTY, " then press the "MSG" button. Now you can transmit the preset messages.

Just received mine today out of the box Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connected very quickly

One issue that's annoying, is the turn-around time between RX and TX when using SSB, too long. Especially problematic when working contests. The beginning comments from the other station is truncated.

Four updates is not bad, Elecraft K4 has had 28 in the short time is has been available.

I was impressed with the latest firmware upgrade. I was about to send mine back as the battery indicator was turning red after about 10 minutes sending CW. That is fixed now and I'm much happier. The CW memory keying has been fixed, as others have pointed out, although the process is not at all straight forward. There is so much cleanup to be done to arrange the various functions in a logical format, and make the flow more natural... but they are making progress.

First I really enjoy your videos. We’ll just received the x6100 today and have a couple of questions. Re: firmware, do you have to install each of the updates or will the latest version include all the previous fixes? Secondly, you pointed out the need to completely charge and discharge the unit 4 times, I’m guessing that is still a prerequisite prior to first time operating. Thanks de W8RLP Roger 73

Great video, like usual. Is the cw speed the same for transmit and receive like in the FTDX3000? When I send at 12wpm and somebody answer at 20wpm that creates a problem.

I'm on my 3rd battery drain cycle. I'm sitting at 7.2 V and red empty battery. Surprised it's not shut down by now. The NR is greatly improved for CW with the new update. Thanks for the outstanding video as always. 73

Hi, Just upgraded to latest F/W dated 1/27/22, I can pair & connect (as displayed on X6100 BT screen) to multiple Bluetooth speakers, but no audio coming out of these external BT spkrs. Does anyone able to get audio to transfer from X6100 to external spkrs ? Tnx, N2FH Faris
