I plan on purchasing some Mueller BU-25 test clips to see how well they will work as a grounding clip for those that might want to use a radial at their rig. I’ve noticed a huge swing in SWR with a counterpoise on the base loaded shortened vertical antennas with relation to the capacitance of our bodies to the rig, and a longer counterpoise helps alleviate some of that.

I used the NanoVNA last night to test the antenna, and I believe that the readings I saw on the X6100 were not quite as close as to the field performance of the antenna.

I can confirm that the SWR of my design is much lower than the Elecraft AX1 on 20m. I did struggle in the field testing, though. POTA was super busy on Saturday which could have led to the lull in contacts made.

I will certainly take it out again and give it another run.
