How to Light a Water heater pilot (new style)

In this video I will show you how to light a water heater with an electronic pilot.

1. Make sure bottom dial is on pilot lighting
2. Turn top dial to pilot mode
3. Press and hold down top dial.
4. While holding top dial press button and look into window to see flame. Hold for 30 seconds.

Oh my gosh, thank you!! I had my furnace replaced which seemed to cause the pilot light of my water heater to go out. I didn't know until a couple days later when I had depleted all the hot water. I was looking everywhere for something to explain how to relight my specific water heater. This video really helped me to understand what I needed to do (the instruction page is not made for people who don't know how any of this works!). Great video very helpful just one question is the ignition button stay pushed in or should it pop back out.. my isn't popping back out but am able to pull it back out. will that have any effect on it not lighting plzzz

Great video! I still have a problem with my heater, after letting go of the Black knob after 30-45 seconds the flame inside doesnt seem to hold and extingushes, any idea why?

Soooo we just bought our house and discovered that there's no button for the lighter switch? We tried using a pen or other round tool to push it in but it's not working and nowhere even sells it.
