Girl your hair is breaking 😢. I’ve had the same struggles i know how it feels. Next time try damping your hair with lukewarm water first and then start detangling from the tips. Detangle with your fingers first then go in with a wide tooth comb 😊

I have the same hair. Shrinks to the root like yours and I too have my moments when it gets this bad. It has to be DRENCHED before it acts like it can be separated. I then use Aussie moist conditioner for more slip. No problem!

Detangling is such a pain at times and can take soooo long. Proud of you too girl for pushing through each section🙏🏾👏🏾❤️ I’ve found hydrating rinse in the shower, soaking my hair strands while under running water has been the smoothest way to detangle my hair, especially after those moments it’s very matted.

Why not drench them with water the add à ton of detangling gel detangling mask or detangling deep conditionner and then try to separate and finger detangle when they r drenched with products ?

My hair is coily but not as dense as yours and I put waaaay more water and product to finger detangle before i grab my denman brush. The hair has to be saturated. Try more water and a little more product if you can🫶🏽

Drenching your hair with water would have made the whole process easier. I personally do that and I only finger detangle.

Keep your hair parted with two strand twists or three strand twists. Then with this only finger detangle because combs and brushes are too invasive
