Students will explore the impact of the French and Indian War on the relationship between England and the 13 colonies. The focus of this session will be using historical documents that may contradict one another and effectively incorporating contradictions in a thesis statement. Items explored in this episode: primary sources with questions and an LEQ (thesis, contextualization, and evidence concentration).

About Daniel Jocz:

Daniel Jocz is a product of public education in Los Angeles. Since kindergarten he attended Los Angeles Unified School District schools and went on to become the first in his family to go to college. Daniel Jocz graduated magna cum laude with a degree in History from UCLA and earned his master’s degree in Education from the UCLA Teacher Education Program. A National Board Certified Teacher Mr. Jocz was selected as the 2016 California Teacher of the Year and was one of four finalists for National Teacher of the Year. He also likes long walks on the beach.
