Star Wars Rebels: Short Trailer (Official)

It's time to join the rebellion. This new Star Wars Rebels short trailer offers a closer look at the upcoming animated series, including the heroic crew of the Ghost and the forces of the evil Empire.

Sabine, Kanan, Hera, Ezra, Zeb, and Chopper battle Stormtroopers and Imperials, and the small band of heroes are called a "rebel cell" by an Imperial officer reporting to the Inquisitor -- the Empire's Jedi hunter. Finally, Kanan, a secret Jedi, assembles his lightsaber and prepares for battle...

Star Wars Rebels takes place between Star Wars: Episode III and IV as the Empire tightens its grip on the galaxy and a rebellion begins to form. The series, executive produced by Dave Filoni, Simon Kinberg, and Greg Weisman, is scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel and will be followed by a series on Disney XD.

Give it the time to grow like TCW. Also, it's the same creators as TCW, including Filoni who could even make Jar Jar look awesome. This show is in good hands.

The Clone Wars art style was a little childish, yet the general topics and situations weren't, Rebels' art style looks even more child-friendly, I do not know how good Rebels is going to be, but, personally, I'm not expecting much.

It is a tragedy that TCW was cancelled. If they made a COMPLETE season 6 to wrap up all he loose ends no one would be saying
"Save the Clone Wars"

I think this looks great, and I was a fan of Clone Wars too. I have no weird assumption that this show is 'responsible' for Clone Wars getting cancelled or that Disney is making it 'too childish'.

Still looks better than TV-shows like Green Lantern, Beware the Batman and TMNT from Nickelodeon.I hope that the story will be good too.

I don't get why people keep saying this doesn't look good. This is leagues beyond the Clone Wars. That facial animation blows it out of the water. I recommend looking at Hera's footage in closer detail (on the footage in the WonderCon clip, as the footage of her in this clip sounds like they dubbed it over for the trailer), though I imagine most of you can't appreciate the technique and effort put into it.

If Disney was making this show solely to appeal to little kids, they would have stuck it back in the Clone Wars era, as all little kids prefer the prequel trilogy because it's more shiny and has less personality.

We'll See how this goes. I'll reserve Judgement until after the first few episodes. After all, when Clone Wars was first coming out I said "This is gonna be stupid, I'm not gonna watch" And I ended up missing out.
