In this tutorial, I will be demonstrating how to upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10 when you already have Windows 10 installed and running on your PC, and without losing your files and applications.

One possible way to this is by running your regular Windows systems updates by using the “Check for updates”, tool in Windows.

If you already have Windows 10 running on your PC, then you can use the update now tool which allows you to only update the Windows 10 you already have running on your PC, but will not make a new windows installation if for instance, you’re running window 7 or 8.1. To upgrade from these versions of Windows, you will need to use the media creation tool, it allows you to either install a fresh copy of Windows 10 which of course will come with the latest updates or to create a Windows 10 installation media on a USB or some other storage device.

So if you already have Windows 10, but you’re not sure if you have the latest version, then you want to click on update now, and use the update assistant tool to check for updates, and if you already have the latest version of Windows 10 running on your PC, then you will see this message which says “Thanks for updating to the latest version of Windows 10”, and if not then you will see a window that says update to the latest version of Windows 10, then you want to click on update now and follow the rest of the instructions in the video to complete the update.

Great video Thank you. I have a studio 1749 Dell laptop since the first windows 10 update in November I get a black screen when surfing the net. Display driver needs update but I can't find any update can you help? My laptop works great, or did since update it's like they are forcing me to buy new computer, that will not happen.
