How to Manually Update Windows 10/11
If you are running Windows 10 or windows 11 and are still on an old version of windows build that is now unsupported, and Windows Update says you are up to date, you might be wondering how to install the latest 23H2 or 24H2 update. If your computer is not doing it via Windows update, then you can download the update from Microsoft Update Catalog or you can run the Windows 10 or windows 11 Update Assistant to manually update your computer yourself.

Good tip for anyone experiencing issues with windows updates. I personally haven’t had any issues since using Windows 10 and then 11.

I tried many things, this one included but whatever I do, the install crashes after around 10 seconds and I sincerely don’t understand why and what I can read in the event manager is not really understandable. Help!

How about you are an insider and you really can’t move to the next build, the update crashes at the beginning without displaying any error message but the setup.exe file stops abruptly. Help!

i got an error screen for windows 10 21h2 saying "The update is not applicable to your computer" is there any way to fix this?

I have a doozy of a question for you. Is the anyway to change text size while booting on a Dell PC. I have very bad eyes, and I am bedridden and from about 9 feet away can't see text from the bios on boot, it just to small. This would not be a problem, but I have a dual boot system, WIN11 and LINUX MINT22. And on boot the text is so small I can't tell what OS I'm booting into. HELP! PLEASE!

Which version(s) is/are no longer supported? I have group policy in Win10 set to limit updates to 22H2 for stability reasons. Is that no longer recommended?

If your computer is really messed up, sometimes even this won't work. I guess it goes back to being careful with any tweaks you apply in questionable software or the wrong video guides. A reinstall of Windows will usually fix the issues if it does come down to it. But try this method first if Windows Update doesn't work.

One issue with this: it copies update to the update catalog, so if Windows updater don't work, for some reason, the update still won't install.
