how can you have the Russian carrier as one of the top 8 carriers when it has fires, unreliable engines needing its own tugs to tow it just in case it breaks down. Someone needs to do some research as they are only using the paper stats given not the true stats and also not even bothering to check its operational history as well.

The Kuznetsov hasn't been operational in at least 2 years. It hasn't left the drydock in that time. Even when it was, technically, operational, it was hardly worthy of that term. Just about every time it put to sea since 2014, it had to be towed back to port. The last time it was deployed, the arresting gear broke, and, a Mig-29K had to ditch because he ran out of fuel waiting for it to be fixed.

Sorry but Russia's carrier has been out of commission for nearly 5 and has never been a threat to anyone but its own sailors.
Here is my list...

8-INS Vikarant, India. Still in sea trials and using only 20 MIG-29's
7- Izumo, Japan. They are just getting their f35s but already do sea trials with USMC. If Japan had to, the Izumo and Kaga could accomadate 24 USMC f35b's each.
6-Shandong, China. This Carrier never strays to far from its own waters so info on it is a bit shakey. Supposedly accomadates 30+ aircraft.
5-Queen Elizabeth, UK. This should be #4, but these 2 ships (Prince of Wales) have had quite a bit of down time since becoming operational. However carrying up to 36 f35's is impressive.
4- USS America, USA. Not technically labeled carriers these little carriers (along with USS Tripoli) are out in the real world. Able to go heavy with 26 f35's puts them right up with all other nations carriers.
3-Charles de Gaule, France. This carrier has been around awhile, but is a very serious warship, boasting some 30+ Rafale fighter jets, its smaller than the US supercarriers but it is nuclear and the ship can intermingle all aircraft with the US Navy, able to launch and recover aircraft of both services, making this ship jump 4 spots up from this list.
2-Gerald Ford, USA. This carrier is finally been deployed and operational after nearly 14 years, still working out some bugs but never the less its been a struggle and has to prove itself, hope JFK comes along alot smoother.
1- USS Nimitz (Class, 10 Supercarriers) USA.
What can l say... these guys are monsters and carry more airpower than some nations in the world, up to 90 aircraft. Personnally l feel the Navy should keep these things going until the reactors fail, at least another 10 years for 60 year lifespan.

Anyways theres my top 8 carriers

Charles de Galle should rank 3rd after Nimitz and Ford seeing as how it’s the only other class that has catapult launch. Kuznetzov isn’t even worth mentioning.

The two UK QEs are each actually of c72, 000 tonnes full load displacement and capable of operating max balanced airwings of c60 aircraft, all types.

Where is the 003 FuJian? It runs on conventional fuel and uses electromagnetic catobar as well as believed to be the most powerful naval radar in the world. true engineering miracle. It is more than qualified to be compared to the Nimitz, maybe even Ford

Will someone teach her how to say “superiority” please? Also, does Russia have more than one “navy”? Maybe it does, I don’t know. And “endurance”?

Old news, projects already canceled, recycle videos, stock video. Stolen monologue. Yeah that’s the buzz.

Kuznetsov shouldn't even be on the list. It's a dumpster fire.

problem with your title is most of the later classes on your list only have 1 carrier ever built. The Gerald Ford Class will have 10 built eventually, so they will be all of the top 8 aircraft carriers in the world as each of them is better than everything else on your list. And currently there are 10 Nimitz class aircraft carriers, so besides the 1 ford, the last 7 built nimitz class make up the BEST Top 8 aircraft carriers existing right now, as nothing below a nimitz class on your list is as good as a nimitz class.

Air Craft carriers are unique. They are extremely powerful and extremely expensive. It would be devastating for the US to lose an aircraft carrier along with all hands. I think, it would break a lot of other navy(s). Then you have the hyper missile tech. Each country has to ask theirselves if it’s worth having an aircraft carrier. It makes sense for most of the countries on this list except for Russia. Russia doesn’t need an aircraft carrier. Soviet Union, yes, but not Russia. China and India are in a competitive arms race. US and allies (France, UK) need to be out there, but hopefully are way more focused on hyper missile defense than it has appeared over the years. China and Russia develops the hyper missiles, then start selling them to places like Iran to deny aircraft carriers from operating in those regions. Just thinking….
