I'm a Florida contractor and spend a couple hundred thousand dollars at home Depot a year. The normal over the past few years was $50 coupons weekly if you spend over $200. Now the coupons have dropped to $10. Home Depot is definitely starting to pinch pennies as their prices go higher.

My mom works at Home Depot since 2009, shes been telling me since late last year that they’re laying off workers because they’ve cut their positions. As for cashiers, there’s barely anyone left, the turnover rate is increasing because hours are also being cut so people are also leaving because of that. Luckily my mom is with the department that takes care of the online department/shipping/pickup where everyone’s still shopping. Traffic in store is down tremendously and I’m here in Westchester County, NY, very high taxes in this county but filled with a lot of Rich and well known folks like Hilary and Bill Clinton in Chappaqua. That should say a lot about what’s going on.

Further, we own a company that did 2.7 million in 2023, and we had 22 employees. After a drop from 329K average revenue a month to 82K a month, we are closing down. One major customer closed another changed the way they do final shipping and one changed their machinery. Aside from that our other customers have reduced orders by 64%. This has been going on since July of 2023.

I was physically assaulted in a Home Depot and they did nothing to help me. It was a customer who called the ambulance and police. I'm disabled and was in a motorized cart as I cannot walk much, and Home depot did nothing! I will never go to home depot again!!! I'm 74 years old.

Do they do not want full-time employees?They want part-time employees so they don't have to offer them benefits.That's their gimmick.They've been doing it for twenty five years a lot of other big companies

There's a lot we were planning to fix up in the yard and the house, but we can't afford it! Groceries alone are taking a huge hunk of our monthly income! Nothing makes sense anymore. I do believe we are living in the last days. I'm trying to keep my eyes on the Cross, and trusting that God has everything under control. We can live without things, but I can't live without God in my life. One day, He will wipe away all our tears and struggles of living in a world gone completely mad.

When the price of necessities, like groceries, car insurance, health insurance, homeowner's insurance, car repairs, new vehicles, utilities, property tax, rents, etc then people have less disposable income. This is why inflation is bad.

My wife just left Lowes after 3 years because they kept cutting her hours. She went from averging 30-40 a week to 8-12 hours. Before she left, she told me it was the slowest she had ever seen in 3 years. She also said before she left that people were asking if they had any damaged marked down appliances. Lowes and Home Depot business models work on the fact that people move into new houses and want something different. People aren't moving.

I have made the same comments. Most times, there are more employees than customers, yet when you see an employee, they act like you are invisible and walk past you!
