I do this to make small painted signs. Might have to cut around the bad spot, but worth it at 70% off. Sometimes the boards might be bad just from banding. I’ll just put the board on the table saw and rip it down..

That’s a fact, HomeDepot is and has the greatest piles of lumber rejects I think there is. If your in to making toothpicks or you need non fire wood.... definitely the place consider
