Hi, Tim Ash here, and today I want to talk to you about direct response landing pages. They need to have 3 key ingredients lined up in a row in order to be effective.
You have a single call to action, what you need on your page is: 1. A clear headline that tells me what the page is about.
Second thing you need is an action block that focuses my visual attention. A form perhaps with a different background color, and its own clear sub headline that tells me what’s going to happen when I interact with that form.
And finally you need a strong call to action. Usually this is in the form of a button press at the bottom of a form. So that call to action needs to tell me exactly what’s going to happen when I press the button.
You line up all 3 of those things in order and you’ll have an effective direct response landing page. Page title, action block sub title, and call to action that all go together.
