This man is a pro and he uses all these monitors for a reason. That's the difference in skill level when it comes to trading. All of these one track minded people who payed no attention to the info but focused on the monitors most likely trade at a novice level but think they are the wolf of Wallstreet. Pay attention to the info being given.

Im surprised but not surprised people solely focused on the amount of monitors lol I trade on one entire 43" monitor and a quarter of another 43" monitor

I took it as hes brilliant. Takes a brain and 3 more to watch 40...but the smart guy puts the 40 pieces of a puzzle in to a perfect picture of what the "market" is doing!

It all comes down to how much information ur scanning before you decide on the trade. And how well you can multitask. Also u want to keep an eye on what is happening so u don't miss an good opportunity. Etc.

Here’s why I ask about monitors from my POV. I use 2 monitors plus my phone. Been trading since 2017, full time for almost a year. When I look at my peers, I see that they have 6+ monitors trading the same sector. We are all overall profitable on our types of trades. But I wonder if I’m being unconsciously incompetent that my set up is way more simple and that I feel that way and that I’m becoming conscious of it. And would I be more efficient having more screens? Amongst us, you’d perceive me as the least serious trader of the group placing my trades on my phone. Plus the fact that YouTubers, more established traders say serious traders don’t trade on their phone or use platforms like Robinhood or Webull. So that makes me question if I’m really serious. I feel like I am. I just do trades as I’ve been used to over the years. I don’t look at all these indicators, oscillators. Just a couple charts, mark some levels, volume, and trade accordingly. That’s it.

I travel 100% for work. I use a 15.5” thinkpad and a 15.5” asus travel monitor but when I’m home I hook up to a 27” and still use my other monitors. One day I’ll likely get one of those giant curved 49” monitors or maybe two of them. I mostly trade options and normally don’t hold more than 2 week. I also use an iPad Pro in conjunction with my setup. I’d like more since I trade sector etfs, equities, the indices...like today, I day traded XLE and XLF but needed to watch . I need enough room to be able to WATCH charts. I learn the stocks pattern and tendencies, it makes me more money.

Hey, I have two 25 inches monitors and it works good for me. If I could say I would and one more. As you said and Stephen said it all depends on your style and the way you trade. 40 monitors work for him good. I don’t know why people have to judge him for his choice. He can have 400 if that’s work for him fine.

What about how big the monitors are ?
U can use 48 inch and 72 inch TV's for monitors also if U wanna put big charts up on the wall.
U can get 32 inch TV's for peanuts now and turn them into monitors for graphs and videos.

Some people are able to "see" the market only with a great numbers of monitors, there's nothing wrong with it if they're able to make money. Personally i'm using 3 monitors, 2 of them for charts, DOM and orders and the last one is for social networks and entertainment because day trading is boring as hell and requires long hours at the desk. It's never like on YouTube videos: "making money in 30 minutes and I'm done for the day". Trading is not a joke, it's a serious job! The third monitor serves also as backup in case one of the two main monitors fail. Always have backups when trading!

He already said it’s not a Ego Thing. Two works good for me. Have my trade 30-15–5 timeframes on one monitor and my 1 minute timeframe on the main monitor for orders on one.

Good old video. Funny I saw this because I added 4 extra monitors. I know have 8 in total. In the end it’s up each of us what you want. 2022 is not a year for trading off your phone. Monitors and video cards are dropping in & which will give you more real-estate with less point and clicking. Was a market maker in the early 2000’s and we had 3-4 so 8 20 years later if fine. In the end nothing is faster than scanning your eyes compared to click click click.
