It depends. What are you trying to see? If you're trying to trade with context from multiple time frame analysis techniques such as Elliott Wave analysis then the answer is yes. But don't do it for the wrong reasons...

I started with 1 screen 5 years ago and now I have 13… bottom 1/2 are vertical 24” monitors with the top half being horizontal 20” monitors.

It’s basically a video wall, with the pixel count of a 8k 60” TV with zero cost minus the mounting hardware ($300) because all my monitors were FREE from my workplaces IT department.

I actually use all the screen real estate for my trading style (scalping reversals or riding momentum.) I watch order flow and time and sales across many bitcoin exchanges and like to get a good over view.

5 years ago, price action seemed totally “random” but now it doesn’t feel so random any more with the data I am reading on these screens (order flow and filtered time and sales), so far I only really get burned if I don’t follow my plan or if I FOMO in without reading all the data or if I trade another instrument without access to the data I usually read.

Absolutely loving your setup. However, in the trading community (chat rooms, stockTwit etc) people talk more and more about ALGO trading, dark pools etc, how lots of movement are exaggerated one way or another, how market is RIGGED (e.g. option pinning at every expiration cycle etc) against the "small" trader. Big Funds obviously sell a bunch of options (sell to open) and then have the power to manipulate the underline at the expiration (e.g. today same Apr 13th bunch of the Bank stocks went down in spite of beating the market expectations with the earnings results CONVENIENTLY leaving all those call sellers at multi thousand open interest strikes - off the hook). Do you have ANY of that option pinning shenanigans in the back of your mind when you entering opt. positions and how much (esp. around the earnings when strikes around the money are loaded heavy) ? Just curious.. keep up the GREAT work

Todd, how far do you seat from the monitor? I seat about 3 feet and my eyes hurt in about 20 minutes. My monitor is 25 inches.
