Definition Of Overengineered!

Today I show the cup holders in the 2024 Hyundai Kona!

Over engineered mechanically is ingenious. Over engineered electrically is a ticking repair time bomb. This one is mostly the former 💪

With the prices of cars now a days they better be over engineering them.

Hyundai uses those pop out cup holders in a few models, and I like them in my family's car that is a few years old. They just make the space more flexible. Big ups.

If you didn’t have the cup holder pop out piece the cup would just fly all over the place. Good design especially because it folds away.

As somebody who works on cars, I'm looking at that thing and going. Is that gonna last miles? I'm not sure.

They aren’t charging two grand for those features, they come free with the car, no? It’s genius because it’s effective and doesn’t cost you anything

To me it looks like the cup holders could easily break or get jammed and wouldn't work anymore. But hey that's me 😁

Decent idea but regardless not a big fan of one cupholder in front of the other. I always feel like im bumping my hand on the other drink when I reach for mine. Side to side wouldve been a better design like on the new ‘24 Santa Fe.

Kona facelift (2021~2023) is better looking than this new Kona design. This new design is just all over the place.
