Failed disciples make the best witnesses.

At the end of his life Jesus knew that his disciples would not believe even after he is raised from the dead. He knew that they would fail miserably. That is why after his resurrection he came he spoke to them. He welcome them back. And he sent them on a mission to the world. It is not the perfection of their performance as disciples that qualified them to take his good news to the world. He was their failure to understand him in their own strength and their total understanding of their need and dependence on his grace every day that made them the witnesses that change the world.
