What’s the most important ingredient for creating a great Copilot prompt? Context.

In this series, Microsoft’s CVP of Modern Work Jared Spataro discusses the Future of Work and working in the age of AI. In this episode, Jared dives into the most important thing to consider when creating a Copilot prompt. What you include in your prompts has a direct impact on the outcome you’ll receive. Don’t worry about spelling or grammar, but instead focus on the who, what, where, when, and why. The more context you provide, the better the results!

The ability in the co-pilot preview to say to hey co-pilot "Actually, co-pilot you got that ever so slightly wrong, please take a look at the following resources and see if you can machine learn a little from that" would be a nice preview feature to give a test drive! Just saying!

I like copilot, I use it on my phone.
It’s handy for my YouTube videos, adding images to my narration.
I am incredibly frustrated that we don’t 16:9. I have to rely on Capacut to use its AI to extend the images to a wider frame with mixed results.
The lack of characters available to describe a scene, or the ability to utilise a ‘character’ it develops from image to image is also frustrating.
It could be a fantastic tool.

Or, even to be told what specifically in a prompt triggered a warning.
I wrote about a Viking funeral, a barge on fire, the fire reflecting on the sea and so much more detail. And got a warning. How many attempts do I dare make before I get a permanent ban?
I truely hope that copilot can be made useful content creators.

AI at work = someone who comes into the office, pretends that they know what they're doing, and somehow still manages to hold down their job (sometimes for years). In office parlance....the Great Pretender.
