For the slippery telekinesis guy, I was preparing to type out essentially the same reasons they gave for why it's not useless... until the vase thing...

For the sword guy being like Hawkeye except even more useless, the Swordsman did actually join the Avengers (for one issue, left for years, joined again and then died). In the comics, he actually trained Hawkeye to use a bow and arrow. Later, he got a high-tech sword from the Mandarin that could do numerous things. In the MCU, he appeared in the Hawkeye tv show (wasn't a villain, didn't train Clint Barton, and didn't have a costume or high-tech sword).
