Such good information packed in this book! Colossians is quickly becoming one of my favorite books. Great teaching. I’ve had to add pages of notes in my Bible there is so much information! Thank you!

Thank you for this beautiful explanation! I grew up Catholic (still am). When I was younger I visited Fatima Portugal and witnessed a number of people; many of which were elderly women; walking on the knees to the shrine of Fatima. Up to 1 mile away. Even back then I remember thinking, “why would God take pleasure in this act?” I mean some of those women were 70+ years old. That walk must have done some real damage to their knees! Would you want your children to injury themselves as a sign of love for you??? I certainly would not. Why would God want that for his children. When I started studying the Bible and came across Colossians 2; that was the first thing I thought of. It was actually a sense of relief for me and your Bible study here further solidifies for me that God does not want us to offer self inflicted suffering. His Son did it for us! ❤ The suffering that Paul often speaks about taking pleasure in, is the suffering that he endures, in order to bring the Gospel to the gentiles!! He takes pleasure in it, because he is directly saving souls through it.

When I was growing up, ' IN GOD WE TRUST' was the way our lives were mostly lived. Even the cigarette commercials were taken of TV, oh my now sexual commercials is all on TV. Our children are growing up with this! This is our broken world today.

I married a Catholic and I can confirm there are Christians in the Catholic Church. I went through the training to become a Catholic and I discussed with the teachers the purpose of the Sacraments and that these are not required for salvation, they are simply observed to teach Christians to be close to God. Each Sacrament is rooted in scripture and they like it that way so God Bless the Catholic Church and may He bless your church as well.

I am praying for all the “exCatholics” in this man’s “church.” Jesus established ONE Church, visible and invisible. How could you desert Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist?
