EASY Restaurant Style Char Siu Pork - Home Style!

Char Siu is a classic Chinese BBQ pork, famous for its sweet, savoury flavour and glossy red exterior. Traditionally roasted over high heat, this version keeps it simple and home-friendly by using store-bought Char Siu sauce, lean pork tenderloin, and roasting the pork on a rack over a bit of water to prevent burning. There is no basting or glaze—just the marinade doing all the work for that rich, caramelised finish.

Taking Cooking food back to basics.
NOTE: You have to answer all membership questions to join it's fully automated and accept group rules
Ingredients:
• 1 pork tenderloin (about 450 g / 1 lb)
• 1 teaspoon (5 ml / 5 g) light soy sauce (optional, for added savoury depth)
• 1/4 teaspoon (a few drops) red food colouring (optional, for that classic red tint)
• 2–3 tablespoons (30–45 ml) water to pour into the roasting tray
oven to 200°C (fan 180°C) / 400°F.
Roast the pork tenderloin for 15 minutes.
Turn roast another 15 - 20 mins
Target Internal Temp: 63°C (145°F) - will rise to 66 covered.
