I did not expect to find exactly what I was looking for 😮 not just the cast on but how to have an invisible I-cord edge. Thank you so much!

I've never done this but just finished Painted Bricks shawl with icord and then cast-on Slipstravaganza with this method. I'm pleased to report success on my first attempt 😁

Thank you! I just started your Brioche Soundwaves & I’ve never knitted I-cord so I was nervous when the pattern called for it. This video was so easy to follow & you explain everything so well that between this video & your excellent written descriptions in your pattern I’ve expanded my knitting horizons today on several new applications 🙂

If I am doing an I cord cast on, I use double ended needles and just slide the stitches to the other end rather than having to transfer the stitches back. And I put a marker in each cast on stitch so I know exactly which strand of yarn I want.

I must admit that I too love the Icord- I think that it makes for a much nicer edge on any knit items!!!

Thank you for your excellent videos, which I love! You're such a great teacher, and your voice always calms me and makes me happy. Your enthusiasm is so contagious and inspiring. I-cord cast-on is one of the few instances where I use double-pointed needles (two), because instead of moving stitches, I can just slide them to the other end of the needle, and knit the next row with the needle I just emptied. It just seems faster to me in my knitting.

What a terrific teacher you are! Your cord cast on method works beautifully. I wondered, though, why - instead of slipping the knit stitches back to the left needle, you don’t slide them to the opposite end of the right needle and then turn that needle around and resume the knitting of icord stitches? Anyway you go, THANKS!!
