My Mal is the most intelligent dog I've ever owned!! We live on our 45 acre horse farm and he has a high energy BC/WHIPPET companion. Active when out working, but totally relaxed when work is done. Would like to play fetch....anything I can throw...24 hours a day...but understands "quit" and nap time. VERY protective of my space, but handles confrontation with a bold posture and a dirty look. Works for us...he has never approached a target. The LOOK gets the job done!!

I had a German Shepherd Belgian Malinois. Very intelligent and loyal. She wouldn't leave my baby Daughter's side and would sleep under her crib at night or while she naped.
