There ARE RISKS to getting rid of filler. This lady had her hyalauronidase filler dissolved and it left her disabled with many health issues. She's yet to recover to a healthy state and unfortunately this isn't the first case we've seen of these issues. Studies show that 20% of people suffer from side effects of getting filler dissolved. What do you think? Is it worth the risks?

I suspect that the loss of elasticity is due to the hyaluronidase dissolving naturally occurring hyaluronic acid in the skin and not just the filler. It's the same substance so how would the hyaluronidase know which is the filler? And also, how do we know that the enzyme won't go to other areas and dissolve HA in the joints or connective tissues? I'm not a doctor, much less a plastic surgeon on the forefront of new innovations, so I don't know if that's backed by the latest research. That's just me putting the pieces together to form my opinion.

They should do more studies on dissolving filler. I believe a lot of this is probably due to the skin being stretched from the filler, once it is dissolved it will leave laxity, that coupled with someone who felt they needed filler in that area in the first place, will of course result in making them feel as if they look worse when actually they look as they did before only with laxity that may or may not, depending on age and other factors, resolve overtime. Possible resulting Autoimmune problems should definitely be looked into.

I got lip filler 3 years ago. I disolve everything in 3 sessions. 1 per week. I had no side effects. My lips looks normal. Exactly as they used to be. ❤

I would never get filler, I’ve heard too many stories like this. And the fact it never really goes away is horrifying.

I had botched masseter botox for painful tmj-- they hit my cheek instead and basically paralyzed half my face for over a year. they tried to make up for it by putting filler in that side of my face to "lift" it more, including that side of my lip. I looked nothing like myself and terrible. when I got my filler dissolved, it was so much I needed three sessions to dissolve everything. having seen some complaints, I had a realistic view that I've not only aged since I saw my face without fillers, but that my eyes adjusted to an image and would fixate on differences.

I am so happy to get my old face back. I'm not discounting the very real theory that filler stretches skin, which is what I think happens in these rare horror dissolver cases. Still, I ended up looking basically very close to how I looked before. I've put my face through trauma, so I was reasonable about slight differences.

Had undereye juvederm filling about 5 years ago. A lump comes and goes but it hurts, seems like someone punch me in the face. I know dissolving it may be the best bet but I'm so afraid. I should've never gotten filler in the first place. Don't know what to do.

I am in Houston texas, I went to a medical spa called le lux and the evil injector, injected my natural cheeks with hyaluronidase instead of my smile lines where I had fillers to dissolve. She damaged my face, I lost volume from my cheeks and face, got dark pigmentation on my skin after the hyaluronidase dissolved whatever was there, fat, tissue, hyaluronic acid, elastin, colagen, whatever this enzyme wanted to dissolve. I ended up with saggy skin on my face, elastic rubber skin, . This hyaluronidase is very dangerous. The worst is that I have to take my case to court myself. No lawyers wants my case, police couldn't do anything about my distorted face and the damages that I had been suffering since this lady injected my face with this poison hyaluronidase

Read that it was used for tissue separation during surgery in the past. It dissolves hyaluronic acid no matter the origin of the HA, (so your own natural HA too). Maybe they used too much?

I was injected with 4mls of dermal filler and the results were terrible so I was told that Hyaluronidase would easily dissolve all the filler. I was not informed of the associated risks, dangers and complications of Hyaluronidase and I was not given a consent form to read or sign. After several treatments of Hyaluronidase, my entire facial structure began to collapse. My tear troughs have deep hollows, my cheeks have caved in, my marionette lines are long, deep and drag downwards. The corners of my lips sink into my mouth, my smile is distorted and my skin is loose, stretchy and saggy. Hyaluronidase has aged my appearance by 15 years and I still have 4mls of filler in my face according to 2 MRI’s. Hyaluronidase destroyed my looks and my life. Stay away from Hyaluronidase, it can’t distinguish between the HA in dermal fillers and your skin’s own HA. Doctors won’t tell you this because they rely on Hyaluronidase to correct their mistakes, knowing all too well that it dissolves your connective tissue yet the unsuspecting victim assumes it’s the filler that’s been dissolved because the face becomes flat and deflated after Hyaluronidase. Had 3 dissolves done on my lips and philtrum lines. No side effects accept for a few wrinkles on lips right afterwards. Did not hurt much either, as some say it does. My injector used lidocaine in the mix, and I believe that helped.

I had horrible botched tech neck filler done by an terrible injector once. The filler looked like goo or a shoe string stuck in my neck and much of it wasn’t in the actual groove of the tech neck line. I’m a younger woman with a skinny neck in my early 30s. The injector dissolved this botched work for me for free but my neck looks WORSE than if I had never let that injector touch it to begin with. I think the dissolver in that delicate of an area made the tech neck issue worse.

I’ve been damaged by dissolver. It seems I have systematic tissue damage. My skin is incredibly see through everywhere. My eyes have aged 5-10 years; they are wrinkly and you can see all the veins on my lids now. I had no idea this could happen. If it can happen to me it can happen to anyone. There needs to be a better way.

We need more studies to determine the safety, long term tolerability and side affects.

It ruined my life, I got auto inmune response due to the overdose of hyal, it severely damaged my facial tissues. And the tissue atrophy spread to my whole body is not the enzyme action anymore but how my body reacted to this substance. I’m being admitted to a specialized research hospital that treats rare illnesses.

I was clueless about fillers but it turned out very natural. I even have a life long auto immune issue. I think the trick was that we were conservative and the improvements were subtle. I'm 67 and look younger.

I had tear through filler injected too superficially a couple of years ago, I was hoping it dissolves by itself, but it didn't, so had to have hyaluronidise injection in the area, which made me look terrible; the skin became wrinkly and lifeless, luckily, it was temporarily and gradually it got back to normal, no more tear through for now 😉
