You forgot the self conscious one, the one who doesn't sing because he dislikes his voice but would really love to

Another type could be the collaboration type. A person who only sings duets to cause they don't wanna song alone. a step up from the shy type. Great videos by the way.

The non participants are the introverted people who were dragged into doing karaoke

You should add a 7th - "the one who can really sing" and belt out those crazy notes and makes you feel pathetic in comparison/This isn't an American Idol tryout, tone it down a notch! lol

In Japan, "Hitokara" (which means "Alone Karaoke") has been popular since mid 2000's. You can sing whatever you want to no matter how shitty your singing ability is. The problem is that it's a little embarrassing and you need courage at the counter when paying money especially on weekends, because people tend to go to karaoke bar for the party on weekends. Maybe some of "The Non-Participant" have potentials to enjoy this alone karaoke. That's really fun.

I wish America had KTV! It's so much fun just sitting in a booth with your friends and laughing (or crying) and not worrying about what other people would think of your singing/if you were drunk (like bar karaoke)

You also forgot the Creepy One, that person who prefers to sing duets so that they have an excuse to put their arm around, try to kiss, and mash their body against an unwilling partner.

Maybe not such a problem in a booth with a few friends, but definitely a common sight at karaoke night in rural pubs.

You should add "the one that's always flipping through the song book." That's me. I spend most of the time flipping through the song book because I'm too picky about what song to sing and end up only singing 1 or 2 songs. Thus, why I come prepared with a list for whenever I go now.

Haha 1:43 I was almost the emotional one when I went karaoke in Taiwan, one of my relatives started singing Fairytale by Guang Liang and bruv that video is emotional, I couldn't understand the words at that time but swear down I was on the brink of tears in front of my hole family. Mate that was a good time and i'm now a huge fan of that song. :D

I would like to add:
"The conceited one": usually sings very well/ almost professionally and is fully aware of it. they tend to rub it into other people's faces and expect to be adored.
"The fairly good singer": sings well/ ok, but doesn't really do it for the attention, only for fun. they will show up in bigger groups and often encourage others to sing as well. they just want to have a good time. (I think I'm in this category, as are most of my friends)
"The background singer": knows every word to every possible song and loves singing along loudly, but just won't go up on their own

Here in Germany, Karaoke is usually done weekly at a bar/ pub, often there will even be a stage.
I used to work as KJ (Karaoke DJ) for a while, and you always have to be prepared to step in as a filler between songs sang by customers. Nowadays I usually just go for fun, usually at least once, sometimes several times a week (there are three places doing Karaoke). While I definitely can sing, I know I could never ever ever do that professionally, I'm just not that good.

I'm the shy one, definitely. I'm super self-conscious about my voice. >_<
