probably the only video which actually goes through hinge questions really helpful

Hi, if you've time can you explain what would happen if you've two rods joined by a hinge? Would you need to include the reactions at the hinge on the diagram or would they just cancel each other out? If you take moments about one point, can you take the forces about the whole system(both rods) or just for one rod or does it matter?
