To me the video power from second son is literally the coolest power ever. Your basically green lantern but significantly cooler. Just imagine making your own reality and basically being a god

First game that popped up in my mind was Control and then it was Prototype. Good list!

I think most people would agree shadow of war is one of the best power fantasy games, you take control of all of Mordor and build a massive loyal army that fears you. The game is one of my favorites along with its prequel.

These are my type of games! One of the coolest things I think video games can do is give gamers a sense of power and experience we wouldn't get in real life. Super powered games are the way to do it. Sometimes we don't care if the game is 'easier' because we are powerful, it still has a storyline and fun things to do, with some challenge remaining.

I think Spider-Man is a great example of this. I thought the storyline was very good and learning the powers was satisfying. It wasn't a button-masher game. If you gave that game to a 5-year old, probably they'd be able to do somethings, but unless they really learned how to control it would be very difficult to progress. So I found once I learned the skills and used them in combination it was an awesome feeling to complete missions in that way. Powering-up, using unique moves and skills and gadgets became part of the fun.

Would love to see more of these type of games.

I've played all these games and psi ops is my favorite. A remake or remastered version for today's platforms would be bad ass.

I would have added Crackdown 3. I just started playing it on gamepass, and leveling up your players abilities turns you into a wrecking machine. Its more fun than I thought it would be
