Seasons should exist for the holidays. The weather literally should have been a base game feature. It’s ridiculous that you have to pay FOR WEATHER 💀

I played only with seasons for almost a year and I never get bored (well… sometimes) I played the sims 2 for years with all the expansions and my favorite one was the 4 seasons so when I got TS4 the first thing I did was buying that pack because I knew I couldn’t play without it. Definitely the best pack and I think is almost obligatory to have it if you want a better experience in the game

I think if I were to choose to play with only one pack, I'd pick city living. It adds a lot of new dynamics to your gameplay. The festivals are more fleshed out, the whole noisy neighbors thing adds realisim, shitty apartments you have to work with give you motivation to go up in the world and the new careers needing you to go out and about and feel the city's cultures change the game.

I'd say - Cottage Living. Or however it's called, you know what I mean haha. I just love farming and if my plants are always in season, that's not bad... Or City Living. Also a lot to do and the world that comes with it is so much different that the base one.

I love seasons. It really helps to show that time is actually passing. It should be in the base game

City Living would be my choice. I just love San Myshuno, skyscrapers, penthouses and all this stuff

I looooved seasons once I figured out we could customize holidays 😅 before that I would get so frustrated that on my sims very first day of creation she would have to participate in Valentine’s Day, or she was going to be sad for hours so I was always rushing to grab some rando, build friendship as fast as possible, start flirting away for the achiv then get stuck with him blowing her up all the time after the holiday 😂

I only played sims 4 with cats and dogs for years on my ps4 and it was the best. I just didn’t know about how many other packs there were and I was happy with what I had. It’s so crazy to think that now I can’t play without all the packs I have.

I think the best expansion pack for TS4 if you’re only getting one depends on your gameplay style.
Family gameplay? Growing Together.
Solo/young adult gameplay? Get To Work.
A varied mix? Seasons.
Or if you just really love animals then Cats & Dogs works too, that’s the first pack I bought for my game.

I’ve only got cottage living on pc and vampires on ps5. I love the aesthetic of cottage living and the world is pretty nice, although I haven’t played too much I find the milking of cows and shearing of llamas pretty repetitive, and keeping up with the chicken coop is so boring. The farming is ok. I mostly just build in ts4 because the gameplay is so lacking it’s all the same over and over again. Haven’t had the vampires pack long enough to give an honest review, I only got it because base game sucks and I love vampires and I was somewhere without my pc for a while.
Love your reviews and I use them to feel better about not giving ea more of my money, it’s tempting to get packs because they purposely made base game so boring.

For me, my one pack would be Eco-Lifestyle. I love all the CAS clothing and decor, and the skills that come with recycling and synthetically creating upcycled furniture is fun for me to toy around with! I also love the world it comes with [it allows you to get an apartment lot without getting City Living], the Sim townies that are a part of that expansion, and I enjoy the challenge the community votes bring! It is the pack I interacted with most out of the ones I do have, and it is my favorite overall <3

I lived in California the past couple years so I stopped marking time with seasons ages ago. It honestly doesn’t feel unrealistic for me to celebrate Christmas in unchanged weather, but without seasons I can’t celebrate Christmas. :( When I finally wandered into Sims 4 expansion packs I avoided buying seasons as everyone mentioned holiday notification annoyance and random weather related problems. So I skipped it and got Snowy Escape where I can visit snow if I want. Autumn is actually my favorite season so I’d like to have autumn and the holidays but am happy currently not having unexpected weather patterns interrupt my game.

For me, the only pack I had for ages was city living and it was fantastic. San Myshuno is a super cool city and the festivals are so much fun. Seasons is great, but doesn’t add enough to be the only pack in my opinion
