It's sad to see an era end, but all good things do. Hats off to Mick. You are awesome.

I honestly had no idea that Mick was going to retire but it’s also understandable, he’s a hell of a player but John 5 is a super talented guitarist and a great guy so I’m looking forward to seeing him with the Crüe. But more importantly, I hope that Mick is doing well and I wish him all the best in terms of his health

Big up to Mick for going this long with his condition. He’s an underrated player

Honestly, Mick Mars is what made the band what it was back in the day. That biting guitar tone is what separated them from all the others. For some reason on the later albums the tone wasn’t as aggressive. Underrated guitarist for sure!

The Rock-n-Roll/Metal world will not be the same without Mick.

This hurts. So much respect for one of the most underrated guitarists in metal. Congratulations on retirement Mick. You rock!!!

I was actually on the “TWO “tour bus doing a meet n greet with our radio station in Spokane Washington when John got the call to come join Marilyn Manson. It was an historic rock moment that played out in front of us.. He says to us “Wow, well I’guess this is IT..I’m gonna be in Mansons band!” We sat in amazement at the news that had broke in front of our eyes.

In my opinion it doesn't matter what guitar player takes Mick Marr's place. Mick was a huge part in Motley Crue's sound and identity. I am glad that I got to see Mick one last time this past June, because without him it won't be Motley Crue in my opinion. He earned his retirement. I am amazed that he did it for as long as he did.

It’s sad to see Mick Mars leave the band, he’s truly the unsung hero of Motley Crue, an unbelievable talent, killer guitar 🎸 player, we will miss him performing and playing with the Crue

I think it's fair, Mick done much more than fans would of expected all things considered, quite a heroic individual for what he's fought to achieve and John 5 is a legend, brings a totally exciting vibe to the Motley Machine.

Grateful I got to see Mick with the band live in Detroit a couple months back. It’s an honour, I even knew then how special it was to see a rock veteran like him.

I couldn't be happier for John. He's a great choice and I think he'll bring something fresh to the band.

It's honestly amazing he lasted as long as he did with his condition. Being in your 70s, having a crippled back, and a guitar strapped to you can't be easy.

Mick really did make their sound. John 5 is one helluva replacement for sure.

So glad I got to see them on this past tour for the first time and I'm glad I got to Mick play one time. I can't wait to see what's next from him especially from his solo album coming up
