Thanks so much for the inspiration and the very detailed instructions. My niece wanted me to do something with her wedding bouquet, but I had no idea what…until I watched your video.
I was able to create a beautiful keepsake for her❣️

I loved watching this video! You are so calm and natural in front of the camera. I love the way you explained how to dry the flowers in a thorough way. So thank you for sharing. I just wanted to let you know that I do a lot of resin art, but haven't used any dried flowers yet because I was afraid I'd ruin them. CERTAINLY not a wedding bouquet! Lordy! What if something went wrong?? But I do feel a lot more confident now that I've seen your video. I already purchased the silica gel last week, so I have that, and I'm going to do a practice bouquet (or two...or a dozen!) before I do a wedding bouquet. Thanks again and I look forward to watching more of your videos!!

Lovely! I just watched a video from Soil and Margaritas. She made an amazing piece of art with flowers from her garden dried with silica gel. So I've been down a rabbit hole on youtube and drying flowers with silica gel 😁. Hope your niece enjoyed having this shadowbox arrangement.

Sry for asking but I tried to dry the rose in the silica sand and microwave for 2.5 minutes, but it didn’t work and the rose became so loose, it can’t hold its shape anymore ?

Did you seal shadowbox? Do you. Need to add extra seal coat th the flowers to keep them from shading from uv?

Love this!! I just received 2 dozen roses for Valentines from my boyfriend and automatically want to preserve them. What product did you use to glue/attach the roses in the shadow box?

Thanks for the tutorial, can’t wait to try the silica gel technique! Can I leave the stems on the roses? (I’ll trim a little)

Hi! Hope you still check comments! At 5:58 you pull out a container of preserved flowers and there are some wonderful looking baby's breath in there.. Did you preserve those ones with silica gel also? If so, I assume just laid flat in the container and put the gel on top? Would it hurt to do that but a few layers of it (since they are fairly flat)? I am trying so hard to find a way to preserve baby's breath without them yellowing in the stem/bud slightly.

Should I let the flowers sit in the vase to dry until I go to put them in the gel or should I hang them upside down first then put them in the gel? Also - I just received Valentine’s Day flowers today and I ordered my supplies online but they’re not going to come in until Sunday ): will I still be able to put them in the gel on Sunday?

Thanks for the video, I have been leaving my flowers in the gel for a lot longer, do you think this will change the colour/texture if they are left for 3-4 weeks inside the gel? Also what do you have any advice as to whether they should be sprayed afterwards with anything as like a sealant or protector to increase their life?

Hi, after the silica gel, do you need to apply something to the flowers? I read that sometimes is good to put some hairspray on them.

Hello so I have my flowers currently drying in my Sylica sand we have an acrylic box to place them in I was going to stand them up in some polyurethane so they would stand out in the box how long do you think they will last and is there anything I can spray them with to help preserve them ? The box has a lid and it won’t be in direct sunlight it will be on a sideboard under the stairs as a memorial x

Do we put flowers into silica gel straight from water vase? Or take them out of water for a dew days before placing on silica gel?
