What a special message... How do we even fathom something so profound? Father Mike so beautifully and painfully describes how each of our sins affected and afflicted Jesus and how ashamed we should feel... But only because of God's enormous mercy and love for us is the cross (crucifix) not a sign of shame but a sign of hope and redemption. Alleluia! Praise be Our God!

Secular society wants us to transform shame into selfish desires. We're told happiness is the essential goal for a worthwhile life. Whatever is expedient and comfortable and easy is good. But the truth is that our shames are only quenched by selflessness, and best when that selflessness is in Christ.

There have been many videos I have teared while listening. This one, however, was really bad! I had to get the box of tissues. Fr. Mike this one was hard to take in but so necessary.

I watched The Passion of Jesus Christ for the first time tonight and it got me thinking and it made me feel a lot of emotions and then I watch this video and now I'm crying. Agreed with others' comments. Definitely not ready, but definitely needed. We can get lost in videos...but when it comes to real life actions, following Him every day and upholding ourselves to everyone (the people that offend us, offend our loved ones, etc.), that's where our Faith really shows (or unfortunately sometimes doesn't).
