I am seeing a lot of recent comments about this issue on a lot of other videos. I think that YouTube has changed the default setting for Autoplay to be 'ON' whenever you open YouTube in a new window. And it appears that they have removed the ability to disable it from the settings. ... So it appears that every time you open YouTube, you will have to 'deselect' Autoplay. And as long as you watch videos in 'that' window, videos 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 Autoplay. But if you close YouTube, then re-open it, or refresh the window, Autoplay will be on again. .... I guess it's just something we're going to have to get used to. .... YouTube is a jack-ass sometimes.

Also, I discovered that I can 'refresh' my YouTube page by clicking on the "YouTube" icon in the upper left-hand corner, (next to the 3 horizontal lines). If you refresh YouTube that way, Autoplay 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 come back on. BUT if you refresh the 𝘉𝘙𝘖𝘞𝘚𝘌𝘙, Autoplay will default to 'on' again.

Youtube recently started turning on autoplay for virtually every video I watched. After trying 4 other extension autoplay disablers on Chromium I finally found one that works. 1 would pretty much lock up Chromium, the other 3 just did not work. This one works. Autoplay Settings for YouTube™. Using windows 10 and Chromium, latest? version?

mine is off n still does it evn worse it auto plays when i just clk the red tab up top if say i have a few open n lookin for the nxt one i want it starts playing, so annoyed!
