I love that Fr. Boniface reminds us that we do not have to wait until we are 'perfect' to approach God in go to Him, in times of brokenness, because he is already there to greet us, the prodigal child whom He loves....💕

As a cradle Catholic we never learned this!
It was the Protestant evangelicals who taught md to talk to Jesus and listen.
I LOVE Lectio Divina. The Chosen series is a sort of a Lectio Divina an we need to use out imagination. Daily constant prayer is sometimes a rosary or a Chaplet, or reading scripture or just chatting with Him as much as possible. It becomes habit.
But I always need to do much more.
Thank you!

Thank you, Fr. Boniface Hicks, you are absolutely correct about prayer, pray with intent, also you must make a commitment to pray. Prayer is not convenient but a deliberate act of dedication to your relationship with Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. For me I say 3 Novena's to Mary and Joseph, 3 Rosaries covering the mysteries, and 3 Divine Mercy Chaplets daily. Sometimes all during one continuous sitting or throughout the day. I also include Mary and her agony when I meditate on the Sorrowful Mysteries. Remember Mary shared in her Son's Agony. She was there for the entire event, she witnessed it all. There is no mother that doesn't feel her child's pain and suffering. If you don't understand what I mean imagine you seeing your child (no matter what age) being scourged, or, nails being pounded into their hands and feet. I acknowledge the Immaculata's Agony and the price she paid for my salvation as the mother of salvation. So, if you can - try to pray at least 1 Novena to the Immaculata and Her Miraculous Medal, 1 Rosary (You can rotate meditating on the, Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries, and 1 Divine Mercy Chaplet daily. Watch how your life changes. I guarantee you this much - you will reconnect with the soul God created within you. And your soul is the only being within you that God values and He will replenish and cleans it no matter how soiled or dark it is.

Sometimes you ask Mother Mary and Jesus to give you the graces of praying so you can consistently pray him always every day, not just to pray but to felt in-love with praying in his name always.

Intercessory prayer works at the same rate as chance. Also if the entity your praying to is all powerful and all knowing then he kinda gets what's in your heart and mind. And since he is timeless it has already happened for him so it knows the foreground and the result so really what would be the point of structuring or refining your technique.
