UB is one of those banks na mahirap magpawaive ng annual fee. They also don’t offer multiple options to waive the AF. I requested to waive last March and ang criteria nila is dapat nakapag spend ka ng certain Amt the previous year, which is sa pagcalculate ko is 100x of your AF, like sakin 2k yung AF ko, and dapat daw ang Amt spent ko last year is 200k. Take note, less than 100k lang ang Credit Limit ko sa UB card ko. The other only option they have is to use your points if you have enough. Eh sa case ko, hindi ko mandalas gamitin sa big purchases tong UB kasi nga mababa lang ang CL so not enough ang points. The only thing they were able to do is to make you pay your AF in installment of 6mos. So ayun, not really a fan of UB na because of this. Hahaha but that’s just me.

I already requested to increase my CL with them, kaso nakakaloka, kasi nasa 50k lang ata ang itinaas. Sila pa rin ang card ko na may pinakamababang CL. hahahaha

Btw, I enjoy your vids and sayo ko natutunan na tignan at aralin maige yung mga perks ng cards. Dati kasi wala akong pakielam sa mga perks and offerings ng mga cc, as long as nagagamit ko sila. Hahahaha

I've been using my platinum CC from UB for morethan a year now and I must say na mahirap magpawaive ng AF sa kanila. They will require you to spend a certain amount bago ka maging eligible sa waiver. If you will also request for easy convert wherein they will convert all your straight purchases into installment may charge na ₱500 aside from the monthly interest of the total amount na icoconvert. And hopefully makipagpartner sila kay SM for the paylater promo like BDO na after 3 months pa mag-generate yung first bill.

Any idea @Jax on why am I always getting rejected/declined kay Citi? I was just wondering since same company naman na si UB and Citi. UB was able to grant my request for CL increase but Citi keeps on rejecting my application😢

I like how UnionBank mobile looks, very clean and sleek, pwede mag lock card and mabilis mag activate unlike sa BPI sa text pa and takes a few days to activate.

Hi guys what if po iba naka receive ng credit card ko tapos hindi naman po sya activated, is still safe? Hindi po ba nila un magagamit unless i activate ko via UB app?

Quick question lang po sana if alam niyo. Yung 20k spending requirement within 2 months ng UB Rewards Platinum para sa NAFFL, dapat po ba straight transactions lang? Hindi siya pwede sa installment transactions?

Hi Jax, I wanted to ask about UB because we have NAFFL promos for both UB Rewards Platinum and UB Gold visa. Which is better po if we are not looking at the the free lounge access in gold visa? Thanks.

I just got approved for a UB rewards visa platinum but I realized wala pala siya lounge access. That was the whole point of me applying for a ub card. Any advice? How long do you think po before I can apply for another one? Want to get the visa gold or if possible, the visa platinum sana.
