This episode really highlights the interesting paradox of Murad's temperment. On one hand, he wants absolute obedience of his subjects. But the moment someone, anyone is in danger or threatened by a threat not of their making, he's completely willing to throw his life away to save them. Two extremes trapped inside one man must be exhausting to try and endure. There seems no middle ground for him. It's what makes him such a compelling character. You find yourself loving and hating him at the same time.
