Magnificent Century: Kosem is about Kosem Sultan married to the "State-i Aliyya", when her six-year-old son ascended to the throne, having the position of "Regent of the Sultanate", as well as the power gained by defeating all her enemies and becoming a sultan who brought the world to her knees with her regency. The power of Kosem Sultan became the greatest authority of the state through Murad IV, will be shaken by the iron fist of Sultan Murad, who wants to seize power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. This show does an amazing job showing the progression and devolving mindset of every sultan. At least with Ahmed, he had more of an internal struggle and always erred on the side of good. Despite his mental breakdown and reflection, Murad is still for pure obedience or else, still doesn't appreciate what Kosem has done for him and the state.

I don't know which people said that kosem is greedy for power .... But I still found her wise woman, who know how to handle state, her family and her loved ones, I never found her greedy of power ... she is still doing the best of herself for just the so cold dynasty, in which people are always ready at every opportunity to go behind their backs.... Murad lose his children and don't hold this pain and lost somewhere...but kosem losed many of her loved ones but don't lose his dignity, strength and faith in herself and Allah.... She is more stronger than any sultan ❤😅 loved her character ....

This is sad because in real life Kasim had no guilty on his brother death, only Murad's cruelity, paranoic and suspicious were for to blame. And Kasim also was killed for no reason, Kasim to came to say a good lucky and he was killed.

If actor Metin Akdulger - Sultan Murad - really went under that filthy water and it's not a trick of the cameras, then he is really a superb actor. I wouldn't do that for all the money in the world. He was born for this role, he really brought Murad to life. He showed the anger and the cruelty that history has written about.

In real life Murad had ordered to kill people who used to smoke and drink alcohol.. Sometimes he was out of palace and investigate himself who didn't obey his rules and if he found some of them he killed them himself. The funny story is that he was alcoholic and he died of it 🙄🙄
