4hrs and 30mins is all I want nothing more. My first marathon was in 6hrs and 10mins very slow debut but finished it hurt.

Loved this! I've only attempted the sub 3:30 once. Everything was going well and I hit my training milestones. Come race day, the excitement got to me. I did my first 30km too quickly (averaged around 4:40/km). Then just hit the wall. I began walking. And walked. And walked. It became my slowest ever marathon to this day, at 4h30. I had never done longer than 4 hours before then, and haven't since then either. My body simply switched off.

Don't hear justice in the wild very often, this is a really good running song!

Friends, yesterday I ran my first marathon! Thanks to training and support I was able to run in 3.25.30 with a pace of 4.51. I didn't think I could, but I did. Everything is possible! But don't forget - everyone has different capabilities - so everyone is great! Those who run in under 3 hours and those who run in 5, and even those who can't run 42 yet, but run less - still great!!)

I want to see 4:00/km pace by someone who’s sprinting, someone doing that pace for a 5k, and someone who can do a marathon at that pace. How different does that pace look for different people? Can we use that to learn about form?

I'd probably take a day lol 30 k walk 10k crawling and 2k jogging at 8:30/km

I can somehow imagine doing the 05:30 marathon, but faster paces like a 04:30 marathon are mind blowing, it's not an easy effort to maintain for 4 plus hours!

7:49 is that slow? When I do that it feels like a fast run already 😂

Very interesting to see that running look much easier at 4:59/km than 7:49/ km. No wonder why when we look an olympic champion running it looks effortless. I guess there is more to running then what meets the eye. Great video. Thank you for sharing!

It's really great to see these paces as I often wonder how I look, thanks.

It would be useful to mention your height so it's easier for the viewer to guestimate how your pace relates to them.

So my easy 10k pace is 06:20, how would I know what my marathon pace will be if I haven't ran one?

I completed a 60/40 run/walk half marathon in time of 2 hours 26 minutes. Now to train for full marathon. Six months to go and I’m aiming for sub 4 hours run. Good to view all these videos about pacing etc

But running in such pace for actual 42.2km isn’t an easy job I ran my first 42.2km in 4:39hrs and it wasn’t at all easy

I can hold 4:50 pace per km for a half marathon
Unfortunately I can't do it for 42 km, my best for that is 5:40 pace per km
