The Galaxy S8 was one of the coolest phones last year, and the Galaxy S7 went down in price by appt, so which one should you get now? Let's find out!

I prefer the fingerprint scanner on the front. You can unlock your phone when it's on the table without lift it up.

I upgraded to the S8+ and don't get me wrong it is a great phone but I ended up moving back to the S7.

The big reason for me was how I unlocked the S8+. The facial recognition required near perfect lighting and the iris scanning made me open my eyes to the point I looked like a startled deer, fine when home but not a good look when out and about.

However the last straw was the fingerprint scanner on the back. While it was fast an accurate, I found myself having to constantly switch how I was holding my phone in order to use it.

Plus since I often make use of my phone when it is sitting on my desk none of the three options mentioned felt as natural to use as simply unlocking with the fingerprint scanner on the front of my S7.

Maybe the S10 will have an under screen fingerprint scanner, until then I'll stick with the S7.

Should I get an s7 it’s 300 dollars new and the s8 refurbished is 300 too from boost. When I got my iPhone 6 refurbished from boost it had multiple flaws like they didn’t even refurbish it has anyone else had this happen or did I just get a bad egg

Bought mine (S7) in mid July 18 for 240€ in mint condition... how can a smartie possibly be any better then this one? Only downside is maybe the battery...

S7 was not the last phone to have a home button it was the samsung galaxy a3, a5 and a7 to have it and the c8, and one more

I'm watching on my S8 and the fingerprint scanner has a fine location for me since my finger is naturally just there

Edit: I normally use face recognition since its easier to unlock than iris scanner

Had the s6.. Was the best phone, but for some reason the phone wouldn't read simcard, wife buys me the s8 as a surprise bday prez, love her to bits, but don't get one!!!
cons, curved glass hard to protect need silicone, not as clear, it's longer, carnt fit in top pocket as to my old s6, have to swipe up on the bottom screen to access home button finger print in a shit spot.. All in all this phone has gone backwards!! Save your dollars!
