The Galaxy S1 was a beast and took the world by storm and started the iPhone killer trend. The S2 set Samsung on the way to world market domination. The S3 destroyed the competition absolutely and became the first android to outsell an iPhone. The S4 was the phone that had every feature samsung could pack and became Samsung's highest selling phone. S5 was a great practical device but the all time hate on plastic material resulted in lesser sales. The S6 brought samsung back to the Map and the S7 and S8 is further destroying the competition!
Improvements with every iteration. Plus developer support is off the charts!!

I have a galaxy S5 have had it now for 2 and a half years and still love it. last one to have removable battery which is a huge plus for me. replaced it recently for about 7 dollars. now getting 2-3 days of battery again. running marshmallow 6.0.1 with nova launcher, super snappy still. not much lag at all if any. phone is unlocked and paid off. not planning on upgrading for a while. Android for life!

I've had S3 to the current S8 and S8+ and I still have my S4, S5, S7, S7 Edge. Sold my S3, S6 and my old S7 Edge (I've had multiple S7 Edge lol).

Reviews like this make me realize why we went from useful utilitarian phones that actually served its purpose for years (removable battery, 16:9 cam, rugged plastic body, with removable backplate) to absolutely useless pieces of glass/aluminum garbage like S8, Note 8 and iPhoneX. People really do just care about what the thing looks like. So sad. Goodbye forever utilitarian phones. We will. Miss you :(

The S3 was actually updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat and the S4 was updated to 5.1.1 lollipop.

My favorite one would be the s6 and s7 because it get the feeling of COMPLETE and of course the s8 of the MASTERPIECE of Samsung with an infinity display that started all smartphones to get a larger display as of now the s9 that comes with AR animoji. You can really tell the evolution of Samsung

Among all these, feature wise S5 is the best - it has everything from removable battery to IR Blaster - you wont see any phones these years with all these features!

I still have my S5 for 4 years and it still works perfectly and it updated to 6.0.1 version and feels like new!!! But it takes 17 seconds to turn on.

I kinda like the look of the S5. Especially that color. Don't really see why people would hate on it. I think the first 3 are aesthetically less pleasing to be honest
